When a curvy, city-bred accountant sets her sights on a small-town, god-tier doctor for a f*ck-and-forget plan, she thinks she’s in control. Until she realizes that in her own fiery game, she’s not the hunter… she’s the prey.
Sloane doesn’t do love. Not after watching her mom fall apart over a man who wasn’t worth the meltdown. She’s here to rebuild, not relive history. Albury Creek is her fresh start—on her terms. No drama, no complications, and definitely no small-town doctor with a reputation for breaking hearts.
Enter Jax Brier, the town’s most eligible bachelor—a stupidly hot, ridiculously charming doctor oozing with Big D!ck Energy.
To Sloane, he’s perfect. A bad boy with a stethoscope? Emotionally unavailable? Exactly what she needs. So she pitches him a deal: no strings, no feelings, just fun.
But when the town’s untamable playboy starts looking at her like she’s his last damn breath, Sloane’s grip on control starts to crack.
Because nothing in her escape plan included a man like Jax. And once the heart’s in the game, control doesn’t stand a chance… and neither does she.
