They’re not the kind of people who forgive debts, according to the bricks they keep throwing through our house and car windows. We’re broke, and now our windows are broken. But I’m determined to stay. I’m going to pull me and my sister through this rough patch, even if it kills me. And, yes, my first go at starting a whitewater rafting company on the Battenkill almost does.
