However, when she boards the ship, she is surprised to see that their Captain, Jamie Baxter, is a gigantic, fearsome Highlander with a strange scar on his eye. In the beginning, Hollie tries to stay as far as possible from him, but the ship is a small place, and the more she interacts with the mysterious man, the more attractive she finds him.
What Hollie can not imagine is that her presence there has petrified the Captain. Jamie Baxter did not know that the French man would bring his future wife along, and now he has an inner conflict; can he go on with his plan and do the terrible things he wants to, knowing that the lass will suffer along with her betrothed?
